Recently we were lucky enough to train with the legendary Charlie Austin, Charlie is neuro diverse himself and helped run a training session for the team at the amazing Ballerz facility in Bluewater. Charlie was so good with the children who were thrilled to be playing with an ex Premier League footballer. Huge thank you to Charlie and his team for coming and a massive thank you to Panini for arranging such a fun event. Click below for the Sky Sports coverage.

Big news, Shaun Malone, who you may recognise from the very successful Channel 4 show Gogglebox has signed for Autistic FC as our newest ambassador. We couldn't be happier.
We recently caught up with Shaun when we were in Manchester, and he said "I am so proud to be a part of this club".
Shaun is a big fan of inclusion in sport and has worked for The Manchester United Foundation in the past.
Thank you Shaun and welcome to the club.
Our club is thrilled about the chance to play against Manchester United's inclusive team. Working closely with Matthew Pilkington, the club's disability and inclusion lead, we have organized a friendly match at their renowned Cliff training facility in Salford. We are eagerly looking forward to this fantastic evening. John Doran, our club secretary, has been diligently coordinating accommodations and travel arrangements for the attending families. A big thank you to Swans Travel for generously providing transportation to the ground and back to the hotel in one of their fantastic coaches at no cost; we truly appreciate it.
Sam, one our longest serving players at AFC had some really exciting news recently. He has been called up to represent his school at Deaf England Swimming Gala, this event is due to be held at the Aquatic Centre in Stratford. We are so proud of you Sam for this incredible achievement and wish you all the very best of luck.
We are so excited to announce that our wonderful football club is now an accredited England Football team affiliated to the Essex FA.
Football leagues and clubs accredited by The FA have positively changed the football landscape over the last 20 years. They create the ideal environments to nurture players, coaches and volunteers. The result is greater diversity and inclusivity through football.
Charlie went to Colchester United recently to collect our Positive Environment Award for 2023 from the FA. We are so proud of this award because we pride ourselves on the atmosphere at our club and always emphasize positivity.
Charlie and Jane enjoyed a red carpet, a 2-course dinner, and speakers from Leyton Orient including Paul Terry.
Thank you to all at the Essex FA and to those who took the time to vote for us it means a lot.
Last week, Dan, Jane, Charlie and Sofia attended the Active Essex Awards ceremony, the club was nominated in the sports club of the year award. It was a fabulous evening with some incredible people doing wonderful things in the community. We didn't win the main prize but came away with a highly commended certificate for which we are hugely proud of. Thank you to all of you who voted for us, it means so much.
Well, what can we say, we made it to the last 8 out of 90,000 nominations, we didn't win the award but we are so proud we even made it to the last 8. It was a fabulous evening in the Liverpool Cathedral with lots of wonderful people all wanting to celebrate diversity and inclusion.
We hope to be back again but will enjoy the exposure for the club for now.
Recently Dan had the pleasure of a completely chance meeting with WSL giants Tottenham‘s, Molly Bartrip. The superstar defender very kindly spoke to us about what she has been up to recently and really liked what we do at the club, telling us how important inclusion is within sports. Thank you Molly for your time, we can’t wait to watch you in the new season!
BBC Newsround reporters visited AFC training HQ to meet Charlie and all the AFC Team legends recently. What a day!
As part of National Inclusion Week Sky created the below video about our wonderful club. We are so excited to be included in this and spread the word about inclusive football.
